Salim Khan says being nominated to the Rajya Sabha would be a 'great honour' but he has not been approached for this by any political party.
Salim Khan, father of actors Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan, tweeted that he had not been offered a seat in the Rajya Sabha by the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP).
The 80-year-old, who formed a successful
jodi with lyricist Javed Akhtar, wrote scripts for Bollywood films including
Haathi Mere Saathi,
Seeta Aur Geeta, Zanjeer, Sholay and
Mr India.
