Britain's Prince Harry could wed hisgirlfriend Cressida Bonas next year, a media report todayquoted his friends as saying.
The 29-year-old prince has his eyes set on marrying Bonasand their friends said the wedding could happen soon,according to The Telegraph.
The friends said Bonas, 24, initially thought she was tooyoung to marry Prince Harry but had finally overcome her fearsabout marrying into the royal family.
"Cressie is going to marry Harry," one of Bonas's friendstold the newspaper."Harry never stops talking about marriage and children,and she has now got used to the idea. The wedding is likely totake place next year," the unnamed friend said.Harry is reportedly ready to the take the plunge like hisolder brother, Prince William, who recently welcomed his firstchild with the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton.
The prince was introduced to the British socialite in May2012 by his cousin, Princess Eugenie of York, and was said tobe "smitten".
Harry has previously said he has always wanted to havechildren, telling American talk show host Katie Couric he islooking for the right person to settle down with.One of Bonas's friends said: "Cressida has been in floodsof tears. Harry is coming on very strong, but she is all overthe place. She thinks she is far too young to get married andis scared by all his talk of marriage and settling down."
But Harry persisted, the report said. When he was sent toserve in Afghanistan in November, the pair were in regulartelephone contact during his four-month posting.
On his return, the "romance blossomed, with nights at thecinema and time spent among friends", the report said. Thepair have the "same sparkling sense of fun and relish a goodparty", it added.
Bonas studied dance at Leeds University and graduated fromTrinity Laban Conservatoire earlier this year. Her family,which has direct links to Edward VII, is "bohemian andentertaining - something the Prince is said to like aboutthem".
