Karan Johar's popular celebrity chat show, Koffee With Karan, is off to a terrific start with Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh having come together for the first episode that aired last week. With the two superstars setting the tone for the rest of the season – which is fun and hilariously irreverent – the second episode will only add to the merrymaking, teasers suggest. The upcoming episode will feature Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor, two of the country's most popular young actresses. And the stars have received a welcome that is truly special from Karan Johar himself. In a video shared online, Karan Johar – flanked by Sara and Janhvi – channels his inner Poo from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and says, “Ye kon hai jisne dobara mudke tumhe nahi dekha. Who is she?” giving the Kareena Kapoor dialogue a twist.
In the caption, Karan Johar said, “My Koffee guests tonight are nothing less than PHAT and you know what that means.” For the unversed, PHAT stands for “Pretty Hot And Tempting” in Poo's world in K3G.
Ahead of the episode's premiere on Thursday, Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor shared some stunning pictures together from a photo session. In an identical caption they said, "May or may not have spilled one too many koffee beans."
Replying to the post, the official handle of Disney+Hotstar said, “We may or may not be giving any spoilers, but this episode is going to be (heart emoji, wonder emoji, wow emoji, heart-eyed emoji).” Well, that sounds like fun.
The teaser of the episode has the actresses discussing their ex-boyfriends, among other things. At one point, Karan Johar asked Sara Ali Khan to “name a boy you feel like you want to date today.” After declining to drop a name, Sara finally obliged and said, “Vijay Deverakonda,” with the camera cutting to show us Janhvi Kapoor's expression. Seems fitting since on Koffee With Karan 6, Janhvi Kapoor had confessed that she had a crush on Vijay Deverakonda.
Later, Vijay Deverakonda tagged both Sara and Janhvi on Instagram Stories and wrote: "I love how you say "Deverakonda" Cutest. Sending big hugs and my affection.”
