Kirti Kulhari has always challenged the norms in Bollywood with her roles and career choices. In yet another example of this, the Pink actress has shared glimpses of her new hairstyle on social media. Kirti said goodbye to her tresses and embraced a short crop look. Sharing a video of herself with the new hairstyle, Kirti clarified that she was doing it not for any role but for herself. She mentioned that this was always something she wanted to do. In her caption, Kirti said, “#newendings #newbeginnings. Decided to do this a month back and here I am , having done it. I work in an industry where being a #heroine comes with its own set of restrictions and limitations . Long hair or atleast shoulder length hair is an unsaid mandate. Here I am, almost 15 years later, in the industry, #doingmything. I have no time to not do what I want to do… and each time I have done something which is not #thenorm , I have felt empowered and nothing short of it . Here I am, making another such choice and living my life #myway.
Thanking her hair stylist, Kirti Kulhari added: “P.S - No, it's for not any role. It's FOR ME.” Replying to the post, Kirti's Four More Shorts Please co-star Sayani Gupta said, “Oh wow (fire emojis).” Isha Talwar wrote, “I hear you …. The Norms Norms the norms. You look great [heart emoji].” Apurva Asrani gushed, “You are amazing. Love you.” Amol Parashar said, “Nice!”
Fans of the actress also complimented her look. One user said, “You do you. This is such a powerful message to everyone, especially the young girls who are fed the wrong definition of ‘beautiful'. Last year, Kirti Kulhari impressed fans by riding 800 km in 8 days in her first bike trip. She posted a picture on Instagram posing with her Royal Enfield Himalayan bike and expressed her gratitude for being able to accomplish this feat safely. She also revealed that this was just the first of many bike trips to come, using the hashtags "gratitude" and "bike trips." Kirti shared that she had thought of taking a bike trip almost a year ago and thanked her friends for supporting and making it possible for her.
In the caption, she wrote, “Let's START from the END. Just reached #LEH after riding for 800 kms over the last 8 days. Am absolutely safe and unhurt and feel so much #gratitude for having been able to do this … it's the 1st many such #biketrips. I thought of this almost a year back and here I am. A few special people to thank for making this happen and having my back while I spread my wings and flew higher and higher( quite literally here ). I feel victorious and grateful.”
