The Roshan family has presented Bollywood with several talented artists over the years. As Hrithik Roshan continues to be one of the biggest superstars in the country, his father, director Rakesh Roshan and uncle, music director Rajesh Roshan are iconic names in the industry. Now, another member of the Roshan clan is set to make her debut. Pashmina Roshan, Rajesh Roshan's daughter will make her debut with the sequel of the successful 2003 college romance Ishq Vishk. The original film launched the likes of Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao, who have gone on to become big names in the film industry.
Pashmina Roshan has shared the happy news on Instagram with an announcement video. The clip begins with a poster of the 2003 film and the text, “In 2003, true love was found. In 2023, get ready to reboot/ rebound.” In the caption, Pashmina said, “It feels like years of austerity and hard work is finally bearing fruits. I'm extremely excited, nervous and elated to bring to you my first experience on screen: When relationships can be found on apps, and lost over a chat, you know that love needs an upgrade. ISHQ VISHK REBOUND. It's time to move on.”
The film will also feature Rohit Saraf, Jibraan Khan and Naila Grewal. The project will be backed by Tips Films.
In the comments, Rakesh Roshan wrote, “Congratulations to all, looking forward.” Actress Ridhima Pandit said, “Congratulations,” with a heart emojis.
Sharing the same news, actor Rohit Sharaf said, “It's happening! When relationships can be found on apps, and lost over a chat, you know that love needs an upgrade. ISHQ VISHK REBOUND. It's time to move on.”
Jibraan Khan, who played Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol's son in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, also shared the same video and said, “Dreams do Come true.”
Meanwhile, Pashmina Roshan made headlines recently when pictures of a family gathering were shared online. The pictures created quite a buzz as Hrithik Roshan was seen in the image along with his girlfriend, Saba Azad. Sharing an image from her brother Eshaan Roshan's birthday party, Pashmina wrote, “On today's episode of: Where's Eshu Bhaiya? #wefoundhim”
Replying to the post, Hrithik Roshan said, “Hahaha.” Saba Azad said, “Hahahahaha, Pash that vase in your hand.”
Two weeks ago, Pashmina Roshan even shared a picture of her playing the piano with her dog by her side. In the caption, she wrote, “Sir Arlo has refined taste in music, which is precisely why he jumped off the bench right after this picture was taken.”
Ishq Vishk, which released nearly 20 years ago, was produced by Tips and directed by Ken Ghosh.
