Hindi version of Telugu hit Eega hits screens October 12

  • Makkhi, Hindi version of director S.S. Rajamouli's Telugu blockbuster Eega, will have a nationwide release October 12.
  • Reliance Entertainment is releasing the film, which was produced by Sai Korrapati and D. Suresh Babu, said a statement. Several technicians from Hollywood, Bollywood and Southern film industry worked togethr to create "the fly" in the high budget Eega.
  • Starring Sudeep (Sudeep), Samantha Prabhu (Bindu) and Nani (Jani) in lead roles, Makkhi is a live action animation film about the revenge of a super fly.
  • Eega was released in Telugu on July 6 this year, then in Tamil as Naane and as Eecha in Malayalam.
  • Having reached to audience in 1103 screens in India with its Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam versions, the film's Hindi release will further augment its reach.
  • Its three versions have already done a gross business of over Rs.130 crore worldwide.
  • The Hindi audience is already familiar with Rajamouli's body of work that includes blockbuster Telugu film Vikramarkudu (2006) , remade in Hindi as Rowdy Rathore and his 2010 release Maryada Ramanna (2010) is being made as Son Of Sardar in Hindi.
  • His 2009 movie Magadheera is also slated to be remade in Hindi.
