"The story touched my heart the first time I heard it and it also brought back memories of Chappra where I held my first political rally," said Malini, who is a Rajya Sabha
member from BJP. The 62-year-old star has earlier directed and produced TV shows like 'Noopur' and 'Mohini'.
Maati Ki Banno, starring newcomers Via Roy Choudhury and Manoj Chandila in the lead, will be aired from December 27 onwards on Colors. "We are delighted to announce the launch of
Maati Ki Banno in association with Hemaji. It is an important milestone for us as we are launching the show in an early evening time slot, and are confident the show will strike a chord with the viewers," said Ashvini Yardi, Head Programming, Colors.
