To make the day a lot more special, his son, actor Farhan Akhtar has written a heartwarming note on Instagram. It read, “Happy birthday, pa. You know what you mean to me and to every person who's life, thinking and work you have influenced for the better. Love you.” The birthday wish was attached to a monochrome pic of Javed Akhtar. Farhan's friends have made a bee-line to the comments section to extend their warmest greetings. Farhan's sister, director Zoya Akhtar, dropped a red heart under the post. Farhan's wife, actress Shibandi Dandekar too left a red heart under the post. Hrithik Roshan and Abhay Deol, who have shared the screen space with Farhan in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, followed suit.
