Shahid married Mira on July 7
Shahid Kapoor's wedding on July 7 in Gurgaon, Haryana, was a very low-key affair with few people in attendance. The number of guests at the reception the same evening was around 500, but nothing compared to what is expected at Mumbai's Lower Parel-based Palladium Hotel tonight.
Shahid is expecting the biggest wigs from Bollywood considering he has worked with most of them.
The hotel itself has been chosen after considering the privacy that it provides. The main gate is at least a 100 meters away from the porch. No problem for high profile Bollywood couples who are usually in the 'just friends' category.
The number of guests is unknown but we do know that the reception will be held at multiple levels. Sources say that Shahid has booked banquet halls at the 36th and the 37th floor of the hotel. The terrace garden that gives a brilliant view of the city has also been booked. A total of five venues - Mekong, Asilo, Zenith party suite, Exo and Li Bai have been booked.
But while the food at the wedding in Delhi was strictly vegetarian, sources claim that the cuisine at the reception here in Mumbai will vary. The party starts at 8.30pm IST. We'll keep you updated on the latest developments.
