- Raqesh Bapat and Vishal Kotian clashed during a nomination task on Bigg Boss Marathi 6
- Vishal pushed Raqesh physically and was punished with nomination for the rest of the season
- Vishal mentioned Raqesh's past marriage, violating show rules against personal matters
Tension inside the Bigg Boss Marathi 6 house has taken a serious turn this week. Actor Raqesh Bapat got into a major clash with fellow contestant Vishal Kotian during a nomination task, and things went beyond just words.
The episode showed how a simple disagreement quickly got personal. Raqesh nominated Vishal, saying he had been making personal comments inside the house. Vishal pushed back, saying Raqesh had also made remarks about his age.
But the argument did not stop there. Vishal Kotian dragged Raqesh Bapat's personal life into the argument, mentioning his past marriage with Riddhi Dogra and warning that he could reveal more details about it. That is when the situation started getting uncomfortable for everyone watching.
Soon after, the fight turned physical, with Vishal pushing Raqesh during the heated moment. Since physical aggression is not allowed on the show, Vishal was punished and nominated for the rest of the season.
The incident did not sit well with Raqesh Bapath's family. They shared a statement on Instagram, calling out Vishal Kotian's behaviour and the way personal matters were brought into the game.
They wrote, “Throughout his journey, Raqesh has conducted himself with dignity and restraint. He has never resorted to demeaning anyone on the basis of personal matters outside the house.”
Raqesh's family also reminded everyone about the rules of the show. “As per the rules and legal contract of the Bigg Boss house, contestants are strictly prohibited from discussing or targeting personal matters from outside the house. Any such violation can lead to serious consequences, including removal from the show,” they said.
They also highlighted how this was not the first time such a rule had been broken, but this incident clearly crossed a line. “This is not the first time such a rule has been breached, but this instance has clearly crossed all acceptable boundaries and stands as a serious and unacceptable violation,” the family added.
They also pointed out that while action was taken for the physical push, the bigger issue was ignored. Raqesh Bapat's family wrote, “While minor action was taken for the physical aggression, the far more serious issue of dragging personal matters into the game, which is a legal violation, appears to have gone unaddressed.”
Sharing how they feel, the family added, “As a family, we are deeply disturbed and disappointed. His fans are also hugely disappointed.”
They ended their note by asking the host and makers to step in. “We urge the makers to set the right example and uphold the dignity of a show watched by millions of families across Maharashtra.”
For the unversed, Raqesh Bapat and Riddhi Dogra were married in 2011 and separated in 2019. He was later in a relationship with Shamita Shetty after they met on Bigg Boss OTT 1, but they broke up in 2022.
Coming back to Bigg Boss Marathi 6, the show is hosted by Riteish Deshmukh. It airs on Colors Marathi and is also available on JioHotstar.
