- His arrest followed Sofia's complaint at the Santa Cruz police station in Mumbai on December 11, just days after her eviction from the TV show. During her stay on the show, an argument broke out between her and Armaan. Armaan ended up hitting Sofia with a mop, which left her injured.
- Sofia's lawyer Dinesh Khanteri said: "We will get a clear picture of the proceedings by evening."
- Armaan, who was seen in movies like Virodhi, Aulad Ke Dushman and Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani, has been in the limelight on the show because of his bad temper.
