New Delhi:
Singer Asha Bhosle's son Hemant Bhosle died in Scotland on September 28. The 66-year old music composer had reportedly been battling cancer for several years.
The 82-year old singer, who had been in Singapore for a concert last weekend, is believed to be flying to Scotland, reports
Times of India.
Hemant Bhosle, who was the eldest of Ashaji's three children with her first husband Ganpatrao Bhosle, worked as a pilot for some years and then had a brief musical career composing for little-known films like
Barrister and
Taxi Taxie, a 1977 film in which he used both his mother and aunt Lata Mangeshkar's voices on the soundtrack.
In a tragic coincidence, the date of his death also happened to be Lata
ji's birthday.
In 2012, Asha Bhosle's daughter Varsha committed suicide.
