Bihar Board result for class 12 or intermediate was released on May 30, 2017. The intermediate result, like last year, was shrouded in controversies. While the pass percentage dropped dramatically, the Arts topper for this year turned out to be Ganesh Kumar, a 42 year old man who was booked for fraud. The board cancelled his result with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, intermediate students in Bihar were not happy with their result. The pass percentage for Arts stream this year was a mere 37.11 per cent. A per reports, all students from 654 colleges spread across 10 districts in Bihar failed the board exam this year. Students also reported discrepancy in the marks mentioned on their mark sheet. While in some cases practical marks were missing, in others theory marks were missing and in some cases only the overall marks was provided.
The board has begun the application process for Online Scrunity for Intermediate result and for compartmental exam.
