New Delhi:
A 28-year-old woman was shot at on Monday by her neighbour as she refused to withdraw a molestation complaint against him, police said. The man and his accomplice were later arrested.
Manju, a divorcee living in west Delhi's Buddh Vihar area, was shot at by two bike-borne assailants around 4 p.m. while returning home from a market. The bullet hit her on her thigh.
The victim was taken to hospital where she was reported out of danger.
Her neighbour Sunil and Narendra Pal were arrested from west Delhi's Vijay Vihar area.
Police said two months ago, Manju lodged a complaint of molestation against Sunil. The accused had been threatening her to withdraw the complaint, but she didn't.
