Property dealer, MBA student arrested for cheating ATM users

New Delhi: A 30-year-old property dealer and a 25-year-old MBA student, who had cheated more than 100 ATM users of Rs.25 lakh, were caught red handed in the capital, police said on Monday.

Around six cases of cheating were solved with the arrest of Kushal Kumar and Vikash Kumar, both residents of Vikaspuri in west Delhi.

They were arrested April 6 from a State Bank of Patiala ATM at the Kamal cinema complex in south Delhi from where they had been withdrawing money fraudulently for a long time.

"They disclosed the names of Dharmender and Malik of Najafgarh as persons who initiated them into the crime," said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police P.S. Kushwaha.

Kushwaha said the accused targeted ATMs in Safdarjung Enclave, Mahipalpur, Kapashera, Kingsway Camp, Rohini, Punjabi Bagh and Noida Sector 2.
