New Delhi:
A 25-year-old man and his 55-year-old mother committed suicide by consuming poison in north Delhi, police said Saturday.
The incident was reported Thursday around 4 pm in Samaipur Badli.
"The deceased have been identified as Manoj and his mother Roshni. They were found unconscious in their house with froth coming out of their mouths," said a police officer.
They were rushed to a hospital where they were declared dead, he added.
The officer said that Manoj, who worked in a private factory, stayed with his mother, wife and two children.
"A few days ago he had some dispute with his wife and she had left the house and had gone to her parents' home," he said.
On Thursday, the family members of his wife came to his house and allegedly beat him up along with his mother, said police.
"Around 4 pm both the victims consumed poison," said the officer.
"No suicide note was recovered. Victim's wife and her parents are being questioned," said the officer.
