Delhi: Man Held With Heroin Worth Rs 80 Lakh

New Delhi: A 32-year-old man has been arrested with 300 grams of heroin valued at Rs 80 lakh in the international market, police said on Friday.

Mohammad Arif was arrested on Wednesday near Vijay Ghat in central Delhi where he went to supply the drug to his contact.

Arif, who hails from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, was currently living in Khajoori Khas in east Delhi.

"Arif was arrested two times in 2004 and 2007 for the same offence," said Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch), Ashok Chand.

"He procured heroin from some drug traffickers of Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh and sold it in Delhi," Chand said.
