New Delhi: Security cameras from a neighbourhood in North East Delhi show a young woman being stabbed in broad daylight on the road outside her house. The woman, who was 21, died in hospital today.

Video from Tuesday evening shows the man and she quarreling outside her home as he lunges at her with a knife. They both then disappear into a doorway. He has yet to be found.

The police says he has a criminal record and earlier cases against him include car theft.

The woman's parents say the killer, identified as Adil, had been stalking her for a year. The police says he had left Delhi and returned to the city on the same day that he stabbed her.

Her cell phone records are being examined to collect more information.
