Grass carpets worth crores to be rolled out for CWG visitors
Ghaziabad: Horticulturists have developed grass carpets worth over Rs 3 crores, especially for tourists arriving for the Commonwealth Games, officials said on Tuesday.

Barmula grass was grown at a farm house in Hapur's Asodha village for three months for visiting foreigners, SP M M Beg said.

It is expected to be used at least three times during the Games, he said.

55 trucks loaded with the grass were dispatched on Monday under the supervision of a senior police official, he added.
