Karimnagar, Andhra Pradesh:
A youth allegedly kidnapped and killed his neighbour's seven-year-old daughter and later led her parents to the spot where he had buried her, police said on Thursday.
The victim, a class III student, was allegedly kidnapped by her neighbour 30-year-old Pogula Raju when she was playing last night in front of her house in Sircilla town, about 40 kms from Karimnagar.
When she did not return, her parents went out looking for her. Later, Raju told them that he had kidnapped their daughter and killed her, police said according to the complaint.
He also took the parents to the spot where the girl was buried. Raju was arrested soon after, police said, adding he seems to be 'mentally challenged'.
The reason behind the murder was not yet known, they said.
The body was sent for postmortem.
