Kannur:
A woman from Tamil Nadu allegedly committed suicide after strangulating her 18-month-old baby girl at Payyanur, near Kannur on Friday, police said.
26-year old J Bhuvaneshwari, hailing from Thiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu, allegedly killed Sowmya to using a pillow and later ended her life by hanging inside her residence, police said.
Her husband, working in a barber shop in the town, was away when the tragedy occurred, they said.
The incident came to light when the woman's brother-in-law went to her residence.
The reason for the suicide was now known, police said.
