Woman commits suicide after killing daughte

Ballia: A 24-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide after administering poison to her eight-year-old daughter in Singhachwar area, police said here today.

Usha gave poison to her daughter Arpita and consumed it herself in Khurd village yesterday. They were admitted to a district hospital where they died during treatment.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the woman took the extreme step due to family tension.
