Three women allegedly stole Gautam Vora's car in 2002
Mumbai: Gautam Vora, a stock broker, who has been in the eye of storm after model Viveka Babaji's suicide in Mumbai, has allegedly been a victim of car theft during an American misadventure.

In 2002, Vora allegedly visited an escort agency in the US, where three South Florida female escorts drugged him and ran away with his car.

According to reports available with the Broward County Sheriff's Office, Vora, who was then 25 and living in Florida, was given the illegal drug GHB, also known as the date rape drug, before having his car stolen by the women.

The women were arrested in November that year and admitted to using the stolen car in the escort business and for purchasing illegal narcotics.

When Vora was contacted, senior counsel Shirish Gupte, who appeared on Vora's behalf in the Sessions Court said, "I have no clue about the US incident. I am only concerned with the ongoing issue."
