Student stabbed in college premises

Puducherry: An undergraduate student has sustained serious injuries after he was stabbed by unidentified assailants in the premises of a government college in Puducherry, police said.

The 19-year-old student was stabbed when he was waiting for classes to start in the college, police sources said.

He was rushed to a government hospital, they added.

The motive for the attack was not known. However, the police say that the  search was on for the assailants.
