Sisters gangraped, complaint against policeman

Bhabhua, Jharkhand: Two girls were allegedly gangraped by six people, including a Jharkhand's special task force (STF) police, in the block development office premises in Mohania police circle area in Bihar's Kaimur district, the police said on Monday.

"The girls were waiting for a bus at a busstop at Mohania last night when the accused, including the Jharkhand STF policeman Ranjeet Singh, took them to an isolated place and raped them," Deputy Superintendent of Police (SP) Pankaj Sinha said.

The sisters have lodged an FIR against the accused under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, he said.

"The three other accused have been identified as Dharmendra Ram, Rakesh Sahu, Baru Gupta," Sinha said, adding the identity of two others were being ascertained.

Raids were being carried out to arrest the accused persons, DSP said.

The incident took place when the victims were returning to their relative's place after visiting a fair held on the occasion of Dusshera.
