Lakhisarai:
A railway employee was kidnapped by unidentified gunmen from a level crossing between Udain and Kajra stations in Bihar's Lakhisarai district early on Thursday, police said.
The employee, Shivram, was overpowered by the gunmen who drove upto him and forcefully took him away, Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajvansh Singh said.
Ram's son complained to the police that the kidnappers had called him demanding Rs five lakh for freeing his father, he said.
Raids were on in the area to rescue the kidnapped railway employee, Singh added.
