Bangalore:
About one lakh members of local bodies will decide the fate of 94 candidates on Friday in the elections being held to 23 Legislative Council seats from Local Authority constituencies in Karnataka.
The ruling BJP and opposition Congress have already won a seat each following the victory of their candidates unopposed in Dakshina Kannada district.
JD(S) has succeeded in forging an electoral tie-up with Congress in this election. Under the poll pact Congress has allotted eight seats to JD(S).
Counting of votes will take place on December 21.
