After a round of bilateral meetings with Canadian counterpart Justin Trudeau and UK Prime Minister David Cameron, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is attending the plenary session of the Nuclear Security Summit in Washington, in which leaders of more than 50 countries are assessing the threats of nuclear terrorism.

PM Modi has addressed the plenary session of the Nuclear Security Summit, the fourth and final one during the tenure of US President Barack Obama.
At the Plenary session, PM Modi highlighted India's progress regarding nuclear security, underlining the continued priority given to the matter.
PM Modi has invited his Canadian counterpart Justin Trudeau to visit India. Mr Trudeau has accepted, saying he will visit India with his family. Canada is investing more than $8 billion in India.
On the sidelines of the summit, PM Modi renewed ties with other world leaders including Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Switzerland President Johann Schneider-Ammann and Kazakh president Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The Prime Minister will underline India's contribution to IAEA -- $1 million -- and underline the role of Interpol for nuclear trafficking and foreign terrorists, said a foreign ministry spokesperson.
With US Secretary of State John Kerry saying that India has a "very important role to play" a lot of focus is be on what New Delhi says.
Last night, at a dinner hosted by President Obama at the White House, which formally started the summit, PM Modi said the recent terror attack at Brussels had illustrated how real and immediate a threat nuclear security faces from terror.
"Drop the notion that terrorism is someone else's problem and that 'his' terrorist is not 'my' terrorist," he said at a White House dinner.
PM Modi is in Washington after a visit to Brussels where he attended the 13th India-EU summit.
The Nuclear Security Summit was inaugurated by President Obama nearly six years ago, after outlining a goal of ridding the world of nuclear weapons during a landmark speech in Prague in 2009.
