ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems India Limited (CVCS) has received a business nomination from a major E‑Mobility commercial vehicle manufacturer in India. The project involves developing and calibrating an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite that aligns with the upcoming Indian safety regulation, GSR 184e.
The company states that its ADAS solution is ready for the Indian market and has been certified by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) for full compliance with the regulations. Designed with scalability in mind, the system currently supports SAE Level 2 automation. It has also been engineered to allow for higher levels of automation in the future, making it adaptable for global applications.

This business nomination encompasses key ADAS components and systems specifically designed for coaches, heavy-duty trucks, and tractor-trailers, ensuring robust performance across a diverse range of commercial vehicle platforms.

ZF's advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) have been tested extensively, covering over 3,00,000 km on Indian roads and an additional 65,000 km in collaboration with customers. This validation highlights the system's reliability in real-world driving conditions.

The technology also meets all required Indian homologation standards. These include compliance with safety features such as advanced emergency braking, driver drowsiness and attention warning, blind spot detection for bicycles, moving-off information for pedestrians and cyclists, and lane departure warning systems.
Alongside regulatory approval, ZF's ADAS package is equipped with OnGuardMAX and short-range radar technology. Together, they deliver a suite of 16 advanced features, ranging from emergency braking and blind spot detection to driver attention monitoring and lane departure alerts, offering a comprehensive safety solution for modern vehicles.
