TVS Ntorq 150 Launch On September 1: Key Things To Know

The Ntorq badge has been quite a hit among seekers of sporty scooters. Launched back in 2018, the TVS Ntorq 125 set the ball rolling with stylish looks, connected features and zippy performance. TVS Motor Company is set to launch the bigger, maxi-scooter version, possibly naming it Ntorq 150, on September 1.

TVS Ntorq 150: What to expect

The maxi-scooter segment with engine displacement upwards of 150-cc is on the rise. Yamaha broke into the scene with the Aerox 155, borrowing its engine from the YZF-R15. It has largely remained unchallenged for over two years now. TVS Motor Company and Hero MotoCorp have readied their products to burst into the segment. TVS Ntorq 150 and Hero Xoom 160 are likely to be available in the market by the festive season.

Features, specifications and design changes are largely under wraps. Internal sources and reports suggest TVS Motor Company has developed an all-new engine for the scooter and not borrowed it from its existing set of motorcycles. It is likely to be a liquid-cooled motor, generating around 14-16 horsepower and will be linked to an automatic transmission.

The teaser image shows a chunky headlamp set up, similar to the Ntorq 125 with all LEDs. The Ntorq 150 may ride on 14-inch wheels for better grip and stability. Single-channel ABS is also expected. The Ntorq 125 comes with features like bluetooth connectivity, digital instrument cluster with navigation and alerts and ride modes. In terms of pricing, TVS Ntorq is expected to start under Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
