TVS Motor Company recently showed a lot of activity on social media, teasing a new version of the Jupiter 125. The series of teasers has now come to an end with the launch of the variant of the scooter called Jupiter 125 DT SXC. This iteration of the vehicle brings styling updates and an extended list of features compared to lower variants. All of this has been introduced with a price tag of Rs 88,942 (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the scooter continues to have a starting price of Rs 80,740 (ex-showroom).

While most of the design details are the same as any other variant, there are a few aesthetic upgrades. For instance, it now gets two new dual-tone colours: Ivory Brown and Ivory Grey. Along with it, the Indian manufacturer has added dual-tone inner panels to the mix with a similar tone for the flat single-piece seat. Taking a closer look, there are also 3D emblems and a body-coloured grab rail.

The list of features includes a digital instrument cluster offering the TVS SmartXonnect connectivity. It opens doors to features like vehicle tracking, voice commands, turn-by-turn navigation, SMS alert, and call alert. All of this is aimed at improving the appeal of the scooter for the consumers.

Mechanically, the new variant is the same as all the other variants of the TVS Jupiter 125. The two-wheeler gets a telescopic hydraulic suspension at the front and a twin-tube shock absorber at the rear end with 3-step adjustment. Meanwhile, braking is the responsibility of a 220 mm disc at the front and a 130 mm drum brake at the rear. The scooter rides on 12-inch wheels.

The TVS Jupiter 125 seeks power from a 124.8 cc single-cylinder engine producing 8 hp of power and 11 Nm of peak torque. It works in conjunction with a CVT. All of this makes the scooter a suitable rival for the Honda Activa 125, Suzuki Access 125, and others.
