Triumph Motorcycles has launched the all-new Trident 800 in the United Kingdom. With the new 800cc engine, the Trident gets more powerful, and the motorcycle also gives space for new technology in the feature list. The new middle-weight roadster has now been positioned above the Trident 660, further expanding the lineup.
The all-new Triumph Trident 800 borrows the power mill from the 800cc Tiger sibling, which is an all-new 798cc inline triple engine that is capable of producing a peak power and torque output of up to 115 hp at 10,750 rpm and 84 Nm at 8,500 rpm. With the bigger power unit, the Trident 800 claims to hit a 40 percent hike in the power output, compared to its 660 cousin.

The Trident 800 is equipped with smart, rider-focused technology designed to enhance the ride without distraction. At its core are three riding modes, Road, Sport, and Rain, which manipulate the throttle response and traction control to suit the conditions. Also, the My Triumph Bluetooth system allows seamless control of music, calls, and turn-by-turn navigation via the left-hand switchcube, with information displayed on the round 3.5-inch colour TFT screen. The all-LED lighting system, including a distinctive round headlight with DRL signature, integrated tail light, and self-canceling indicators.
Visually, the Trident 800 resembles the design of its younger sibling, with the rounded headlight, muscular fuel tank, the color-coded belly pan, and flyscreen adding aerodynamic edge and visual cohesion. However, it gets a newly designed headlight cowl and a two-stepped rear seat, which draws the difference between the Trident 800 and 660.
The Triumph Trident 800 has been launched in the UK at 9,195 euros, which translates to about 9.50 lakh. While the brand has been quiet about its launch timeline for India, considering the deliveries in the UK will begin from March, the motorcycle can be expected to be launched here around the same time.
