Tata Motors seems to have big plans for the return of the iconic Sierra nameplate, but this time, it's more than just nostalgia at play. The intent for the same was made clear by the brand at the unveiling of the SUV. It seems to be adding a new chapter to the brand's design story, boasting features and style elements unseen in any other Tata model to date. Here's a closer look at five standout design attributes that set the Sierra apart in Tata's expanding lineup.

Carries Legacy In Design

Hoping to revive and cash in on the emotions associated with the '90s icon, the new model brings a retro-inspired design proudly carrying forward the legacy of the glasshouse design. In the modern interpretation, it gets a rather thick B-pillar; the rest of the rear end of the car is flawlessly connected by glass panels merged with liberal use of black colour.

Three-Screen Setup

This is the first time a Tata Motors car is getting a three-screen setup in the cabin. A feature that has trickled down from rather luxurious vehicles and now finds space in models like the Mahindra XEV 9e and Sierra. The brand calls it TheatrePro multi-screen setup, which gets a Horizon View screen layout. It indulges the passenger in a digital experience usually limited to the driver and partially to the co-passenger with the infotainment screen.

Adjustable Under Thigh Support

The brand seems to have made efforts to improve passenger comfort by adding adjustable under-thigh support to the front seats. It gives the occupants a chance to make things better for themselves, especially for longer trips.

Safety Lamp Under Clamshell Boot

With the Sierra, the brand is adopting multiple new elements that might be placed in future models with a Tata badge. Among multiple such elements is the presence of a safety lamp complemented by another first in the form of a clamshell boot.

Horse Easter Egg

In a very subtle way, Tata Sierra pays respect to its birthplace (Sanand). There's a horse motif that serves as a hidden tribute to Sanand, the site where the Sierra will be produced. This element represents energy and resilience, while also honoring the indigenous horses of Sanand, a region recognized for its strength and vitality.
