Tata Motors is preparing to roll out the updated Punch EV in India on February 20, 2026, and the model has already been spotted on public roads without camouflage. This marks the first time the facelifted version has been seen in its production form outside official images, giving enthusiasts a clear look at the changes. A video clip circulating online shows the compact SUV cruising smoothly, highlighting its refreshed design and road presence.
The front fascia has undergone the most noticeable transformation. The bumper now features a cleaner layout, dropping the black trim and connecting intakes seen on the outgoing model. The revised air dam and skid plate further sharpen the look, while the signature Y-shaped LED DRLs and centrally positioned charging flap remain unchanged.

From the side, the silhouette carries forward the familiar stance, though Tata is expected to introduce new alloy wheel designs on select trims. The test car was finished in the familiar Fearless Red dual-tone with a contrasting black roof, but Tata has confirmed fresh colour choices, including brown and bright yellow, to broaden appeal.

At the rear, the facelift borrows cues from the recently updated petrol-powered Punch. The addition of a full-width LED light bar and reworked bumper design aligns the EV with its ICE sibling, giving the compact SUV a more premium appearance.

Mechanically, the Punch EV facelift continues with the same 25kWh and 35kWh battery packs, paired with a front-mounted electric motor. In the smaller battery version, output stands at 82hp and 114Nm, while the larger pack boosts figures to 122hp and 190Nm. The current ARAI-rated driving ranges are 265km for the 25kWh unit and 365km for the 35kWh option, though Tata may announce slightly revised numbers once the facelift is officially launched.
