Skoda Epiq Electric SUV Unveiled, Brand's Smallest EV Promises 440 Km Range

Skoda Epiq electric SUV has been officially unveiled in it's production-spec version. This is the brand's most compact and affordable EV offering yet. Positioned below the Elroq in Skoda's global electric lineup, the Epiq has evolved from a concept first showcased over two years ago to a near-production form seen at the 2025 Munich Motor Show, and now enters its final production-ready phase.

Skoda Epiq: Design

The Skoda Epiq adopts the company's 'Modern Solid' design language, with an upright stance and rounded surfaces. At the front, it features a 'SKODA' lettering on the bonnet, accompanied by a gloss-black grille panel and sharp LED DRLs. The main headlamp units extend downward into an L-shaped pattern, while the bumper gets a rugged treatment with multiple slats and a silver skid plate.

In profile, the Epiq maintains a balanced look with subtle body cladding, aero-optimised alloy wheels ranging between 17 and 19 inches, and a gently sloping roofline. Additional design highlights include black roof rails and 'SKODA' lettering on the C-pillars. At the rear, T-shaped LED tail-lamps, a prominent roof spoiler, and a slatted bumper design mirror the front-end styling cues.

Skoda Epiq: Dimensions

Dimensionally, the Skoda Epiq measures 4,171 mm in length, 1,798 mm in width, and 1,581 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,601 mm. It also boasts a drag coefficient of 0.275, indicating a focus on aerodynamic efficiency.

Skoda Epiq: Cabin

Inside the cabin, Skoda has opted for a practical yet modern layout. The dashboard is equipped with a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system based on Android, paired with a digital driver display and a two-spoke steering wheel. The brand has retained physical controls for key functions, including climate settings and steering-mounted switches. The cabin also features ambient lighting, a floating centre console, and multiple storage areas. Upholstery and trim options vary across shades like grey, mint green, and brown, depending on the variant.

Skoda Epiq: Features

On the feature front, the Epiq offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, and a 10-speaker Canton audio system. It also supports vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) functions. Safety and convenience are enhanced with an ADAS suite, seven airbags, and a 360-degree camera. Boot space stands at 475 litres, complemented by a 25-litre frunk.

Skoda Epiq: Range, Powertrain

Built on the Volkswagen Group's MEB+ platform, the Epiq will be offered with two battery options: 38.5kWh and 55kWh. The entry-level 35 and mid-spec 40 variants use the smaller battery pack, producing 116 hp and 135 hp respectively, both delivering 267 Nm of torque. The top-spec 55 variant, equipped with the larger battery, generates 211 hp and 290 Nm.

In terms of range, Skoda claims up to 310 km for the smaller battery and up to 440 km for the 55 kWh version. The latter also supports DC fast charging, with a 10 to 80 per cent charge achievable in approximately 24 minutes.
