Skoda Auto India has carried its positive momentum into 2026, posting its highest-ever quarterly sales performance in Q1 (January-March) with 20,028 units sold. This reflects a 17 percent increase over the 17,138 cars sold during the same period last year. Following a milestone 2025, the company has continued its steady growth momentum and has once again set a new quarterly benchmark in the Indian market. The performance was supported by sustained demand for the Kylaq, which recently crossed the 50,000 sales mark, the launch of the new Kushaq, consistent volumes from the Slavia, and ongoing interest in the Kodiaq in the premium SUV space.

Commenting on the milestone, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India, said, "Continuing our growth surge into 2026 with our biggest-ever quarter is a strong validation of the momentum we have built over the past year. After achieving a record in 2025, it is encouraging to see that we are sustaining this trajectory while also setting new benchmarks for ourselves. This growth is driven by a combination of a stronger and more accessible product portfolio, deeper market reach, and a sharper focus on customer-centric initiatives. The Kylaq continues to take the brand to newer customers and regions, and the new Kushaq that was recently introduced has made its mark. Meanwhile, the Slavia and Kodiaq continue to drive consistent demand in their segments. As we move ahead, we remain focused on maintaining this momentum with consistent execution by launching relevant products, expanding our network, and enhancing the overall ownership experience."

Further the brand is also working on expanding its product portfolio in the domestic market, and is set to introduce a new Kylaq Sportline variant around September 2026. The Sportline version will be marked by sporty design elements, distinguishing it with the standard model,  17-inch alloy wheels, a dual-tone roof, and more. Talking about the powertrain, the Skoda Kylaq Sportline will continue with the same 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, available with both manual and automatic gearbox options.
