The Hyundai Creta, long the undisputed leader in India's SUV market, is preparing for a bold transformation with its next-generation model. Despite facing over a dozen rivals, the Creta has consistently dominated sales, and Hyundai is now readying a redesign Creta to keep its crown secure. Recent spy shots from South Korea have inspired renderings by digital artist Nymammoth, hinting at a striking departure from the current design language. Industry buzz suggests the production version could debut by the end of this year.

As per the render images, the new Creta's front fascia is anything but subtle. Drawing cues from the Ioniq 5 EV, it features a split-headlight setup with pixelated horizontal LED DRLs and four additional LED pods in the center. The middle section houses blacked-out panels with LED headlights on either side, plus an ADAS sensor and front camera. Lower down, a silver skid plate and ice-cube LED fog lamps add rugged flair.

From the side, the SUV appears larger, with chunky cladding that lends an off-road character. Renderings showcase new six-spoke directional alloy wheels wrapped in all-terrain tyres, along with flush-style door handles designed for accessibility. Strong shoulder lines, integrated roof rails, and pronounced wheel arches further enhance its aggressive stance. While rear renderings are yet to surface, updates are expected to include redesigned LED taillights, a new bumper, and a refreshed tailgate.

Inside, Hyundai is planning a complete cabin overhaul. Spy shots suggest a cleaner, more modern layout, with premium black leatherette upholstery for higher trims and dual-tone options for lower variants. A longer wheelbase promises improved rear legroom, while the SUV will ride on Hyundai's new K3 platform, offering greater structural rigidity, enhanced crash safety, and advanced ADAS features. Expect larger infotainment screens and a richer feature set to elevate the in-cabin experience.

Powertrain options are likely to remain familiar, with the trusted 1.5-litre NA petrol, 1.5-litre turbo petrol, and 1.5-litre turbo diesel engines continuing. However, refinements in performance and efficiency are expected.
