Mercedes-Benz has announced that it will reintroduce the V-Class in the Indian market on March 3. This marks the return of the V-Class lineup in India, which was previously discontinued. By expanding its offerings, the German automaker aims to capitalize on the growing popularity of luxury MPVs in the country. This model is particularly targeted at customers seeking chauffeur-driven vehicles. Here, we look at the details of the vehicle we know so far.

Mercedes-Benz V-Class: Powertrain

Globally, the Mercedes-Benz V-Class is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine available in two power configurations. The 220d variant produces 163 hp and 380 Nm of torque, while the 300d variant delivers 237 hp and 500 Nm of torque. Both engine options are paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and come with choices for rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
