New Bajaj Dominar teaser

Bajaj Auto is working on introducing an updated version of the Dominar in the Indian market. This seems to be the plan of the Indian manufacturer for both the Dominar 250 and the Dominar 400 sold in the country. Before the event, the brand released a teaser on social media showcasing the silhouette of the motorcycle. Though most of the details are in the shadows, the one in the teaser seems to be the 400 cc version of the bike.

Based on the teaser, the Bajaj Dominar 400 seems to be carrying forward its Aurora Green colour. Furthermore, the design more or less looks the same as the outgoing version, with a massive windshield and sharp cuts and creases on the fuel tank. Apart from the green, the bike is currently available in Canyon Red and Charcoal Black colours. Similarly, the Domiar 250 gets Citrus Rush, Sparkling Black, along with Canyon Red.

Since aesthetics remain the same, Bajaj will likely update the feature list of the bike. It is expected to get a new instrument cluster, probably the one used on the Pulsar NS400Z. With this, there might be a new switchgear to toggle through the features available on the motorcycle. The list includes connectivity, navigation, and more. Chances are the brand will also eliminate the secondary display, which was earlier present on the fuel tank.

Mechanically, the bike is expected to remain unchanged. The Dominar 400 will continue to seek power from a 373 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. This unit kicks out 39 hp of power at 8,800 rpm and 35 Nm at 6,500 rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox. Similarly, the Dominar 250 will seek power from a 248 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 26 hp at 8,500 rpm and 23 Nm at 6,500 rpm. This unit also works with a six-speed transmission.
