Mini India has released a new teaser hinting at the launch of its sportiest Countryman in the Indian market. This is the Countryman JCW (John Cooper Works), which is scheduled to be launched in India on October 14. It is worth noting that this announcement follows the launch of the Countryman Electric JCW Pack, which was introduced to the market in June. The launch is crucial for the brand because it will be the only iteration of the ICE Countryman on sale in India.
With the JCW suffix, the Mini Countryman will get visual upgrades. The changes will be seen in the form of a sportier body kit consisting of a new blacked-out grille with the brand's signature chequered-flag pattern. It also has large air intakes with red accents on either side of the bumper. The side profile of the vehicle reveals rather aggressive-looking alloy wheels hiding red calipers. To mark its special nature, the brand has added a JCW logo on the C-pillar.

Step inside the cabin, and the Mini Countryman JCW welcomes you with a dashboard that is familiar but enhanced with red accents and ambient lighting. To go with the exterior theme, the brand has added red contrasting stitching and sporty-looking pedals. Adding to all of this, the infotainment screen gets JCE-specific graphics.
To ensure that the performance matches the looks, the Mini Countryman JCW gets a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that kicks out 300 hp of power and 440 Nm of torque at the peak of its performance. The power is routed to the wheels using a seven-speed DCT gearbox. This works in combination with an all-wheel-drive system to launch the car from 0-100 kmph in 5.4 seconds.
