JSW Motor India has revealed the MG Majestor SUV, ahead of its official launch on 12 February. First showcased at the Auto Expo 2025, the Majestor is positioned as the brand's flagship, likely succeeding the Gloster in the lineup. While teasers had already revealed design cues, the latest video offers a clear daylight view of the D+ segment SUV, highlighting its bold proportions and premium styling.
The upcoming MG Majestor SUV is shaping up to be one of the boldest entries in India's premium SUV space. Up front, the Majestor carries a striking fascia dominated by a Matrix-style grille, flanked by horizontally and vertically stacked LED DRLs and split headlamps that lend it a distinctive identity. The side profile continues the muscular theme, with 19-inch alloy wheels, flared arches, and chunky proportions that give it a commanding stance.
MG has showcased the Majestor multiple times, including at the Auto Expo last year, and more recently during road and off-road trials in India. The production model closely mirrors the version displayed at the expo. Heavily based on the Maxus D90, a full-size SUV sold in markets like China and Saudi Arabia, the Majestor was also introduced in Kuwait as the MG Rakan. Its design and proportions clearly reflect this lineage.

Dimensionally, the Majestor impresses with a 2,950 mm wheelbase, length of 5,046 mm, width of 2,016 mm, and height of 1,876 mm. These figures translate into a solid road presence, evident from earlier spy shots. While MG has yet to reveal the interior officially, spy images suggest a cabin layout similar to the Maxus D90. Expected highlights include a 12.3-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital driver's display, a column-mounted drive selector, and a three-spoke steering wheel.

Premium features are likely to include a panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, wireless charging, a 12-speaker sound system, a powered tailgate, Level 2 ADAS, and electrically adjustable front seats with heating and massage functions. Together, these upgrades aim to position the Majestor as a true flagship SUV.

Under the hood, the Majestor is expected to retain the proven 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine from the MG Gloster, producing 212.5 bhp and 478.5 Nm of torque. Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, it will be offered in both rear-wheel drive and optional four-wheel drive configurations.
