Mercedes-Benz has announced a price hike of 2 per cent for its vehicles sold in India. Effective from April 2026, this is the second price by the German automaker in the country following the first one in January 2026. The first upward revision came with a similar increase of 2 per cent in the prices of the models sold in the country. The luxury car manufacturer attributes the price hike to volatility in the forex and rising input costs in the manufacturing of vehicles.

According to the current pricing, the price tags are anticipated to range from Rs 89,000 to Rs 4.84 lakh, varying by model. The A-Class sedan is the least expensive offering from Mercedes-Benz in India, starting at Rs 44.45 lakh, while the most costly model is the AMG G63 (G-Class), which begins at Rs 3.67 crore.

Besides the aforementioned models, the price hike will affect models like C-Class, EQS, E-Class LWB, S-Class, EQA, EQB, EQS, EQE, GLC, GLA, GLE, GLS, CLE Cabriolet, and the newly launched V-Class.

In addition to Mercedes-Benz, Audi India has declared a 2 per cent increase in prices across its complete model lineup available in the Indian market. Set to take effect on April 1, 2026, the German luxury car manufacturer attributes the price hike to escalating input costs and fluctuations in currency. Once this change is in place, it will impact the ex-showroom prices of all vehicles offered in the country.

In January 2026, Mercedes-Benz linked the increase in prices to the same devaluation of the rupee that we are experiencing now. Although these price increases do not fully counteract the advantages of the new GST rates implemented in September 2026, if this trend persists, it won't be long before prices revert to their levels from the previous GST regime.
