
Maruti Suzuki has registered another milestone as the e-Vitara secured a 4-star safety rating on the Euro NCAP test bed. While the exact launch date of the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara remains a mystery, the brand has already started the shipment of the electric SUV to European countries, like the United Kingdom, Germany, Norway, France, Denmark, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and more.
Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara Safety Rating
Talking about the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara's performance in the Euro NCAP, it secured a 4-star rating in the overall safety. The brand's first electric SUV bagged a 77 per cent safety rating in Adult Occupant protection. It was noted that the e-Vitara gave good protection for the knee and femur, and in case of rear-end collision, it provided good whiplash protection as well.

On the Child Occupant Safety, it registered an 85 percent safety score. As per the Euro NCAP report, the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara provides good protection to critical body areas in the frontal offset and side barrier crash test.
The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara secured a 79 per cent safety rating for the vulnerable road users, scoring 29.2 points out of 36 points in the VRU Impact protection. While it suggests good protection for the pedestrian and cyclist's head, rated as 'good', it showed poor results near the windscreen.
The Euro NCAP tested the safety rating on the Suzuki e-Vitara 61kWh GLX, LHD variant. However, the results will be valid and applicable for all the e-Vitara variants.
