Mahindra is quietly working on the development of multiple new models. The list includes a facelift version of the XUV700, Thar, and Bolero. However, automotive enthusiasts are hell bent on revealing the secrets surrounding these models. They keep clicking pictures and sharing videos of the test mules on the roads. The latest one in the list is the Mahindra XUV700 facelift, which was spotted testing covered in heavy camouflage. However, the video gives a sneak peek at the design of the SUV.

Starting with the front fascia, it has a familiar appeal, but with changes in its design. The brand seems to have updated the design of the headlamps and the DRLs. Along with this, the SUV continues to have vertical slat grills, but with slight changes. However, the changes are not very clearly visible because of the heavy camouflage. The fog lamps are placed on the lower end of the front bumper, with a slight change in position.

The short video clip shared on social media gives a glimpse of the side of the SUV as well. It reveals the familiar silhouette. Furthermore, the design of the flush door handles has been carried forward from the current version. The SUV seems to have rather prominent wheel arches, housing a new design for the alloy wheels.

Following the pattern of the front fascia, the rear end of the vehicle has also received revisions in its design. It now seems to have connected tail lamps with an LED light bar covering the width of the vehicle. All of this is aimed at giving the vehicle a new appeal.

Although the details of the cabin have not been revealed, chances are there might be some revisions in the dashboard layout. Previous reports suggest that it might incorporate a three-screen setup. However, the details are yet to be confirmed. Along with it, we can expect changes in the upholstery and the feature list of the vehicle.

Chances are, the powertrain of the SUV will remain the same as the current iteration of the SUV. It might carry forward the 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine and the 2.2-litre diesel engine paired with either a manual or an automatic transmission.
