Mahindra has officially confirmed that its next all-electric SUV, currently known internally as B07, will make its market debut in 2027. This upcoming model is essentially the production version of the BE.07 concept, which was first revealed during Mahindra's Born Electric showcase in August 2022. At that event, the company had presented five futuristic concepts - XUV.e8, XUV.e9, BE.05, BE.07, and BE.09 - laying the foundation for its new electric portfolio.
Originally, the BE.07-based SUV was expected to launch in late 2026, but Mahindra has now shifted the timeline to the following year. The announcement came directly from Rajesh Jejurikar, Executive Director and CEO of Mahindra's Auto and Farm division, during a recent earnings call. He emphasized that B07 is only an internal codename and the final production model will carry a different name.

Since unveiling the five concepts in 2022, Mahindra has already rolled out three production models. The BE.05 entered the market as BE6, while the XUV.e8 and XUV.e9 transformed into the XEV 9S and XEV 9e respectively. These vehicles have given Mahindra's electric strategy a strong start. In less than a year, BE6 and XEV 9e together surpassed 41,000 units in sales, with the XEV 9S joining the lineup more recently. The company sees the upcoming B07 as a major volume driver that will build on this momentum.

The production-spec BE.07 will be built on Mahindra's INGLO architecture, the same platform that underpins its current electric SUVs. Battery pack options are expected to range between 60 kWh and 80 kWh, offering flexibility in performance and range. Design cues are likely to remain consistent with Mahindra's existing EVs, ensuring a familiar yet modern look.

While the final cabin details remain under wraps, the BE.07 concept previewed a futuristic interior. A wide triple-screen dashboard, panoramic sunroof, and minimal physical buttons defined its design language. Touch-based and haptic controls were central to the concept's appeal. Given Mahindra's execution with BE6 and XEV models, the B07 is expected to feature advanced driver assistance systems, connected technology, large digital displays, and over-the-air updates.
