An influencer has ignited an online debate by pinning blame on poor road conditions for the deadly Royal Enfield GT 650 crash in Lucknow, dismissing speed as the sole reason. In a viral Instagram reel, the content creator dissects footage from the incident, urging fixes for urban hazards that turn routine rides fatal.
What Happened?
The mishap unfolded near Gate No. 5 of Janeshwar Mishra Park, where 17-year-old Naitik Kumar lost his Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 after it reportedly bounced because of uneven road. The bike then crashed into a Honda Activa, flinging Kumar onto a divider, resulting in head injuries. Because of the accident, he passed away at the hospital. The scooter's skid sparked a chain collision with another motorcycle.
Kumar, the son of an engineer employed in the Uttar Pradesh electricity department, was quickly taken to a nearby hospital, where the medical staff pronounced him dead. At the time of the incident, Kumar was not equipped with any safety equipment, he was just wearing a shirt, jeans, and a helmet.

To get a reality check, the influencer visited the site of the accident, dismissing the pothole as a probable cause of the accident formed by the drainage system on the road. Besides speeding, the person claims that the accident was caused by uneven roads or an "invisible bump" made because of "patchwork" on the road. He claimed the rider lost control because of the uneven surface and ended up losing control of the motorcycle.
The views of the influencer sparked a debate in the comment section. Many social media users resonated with his thoughts, while others still blamed speeding and careless riding for the incident.
