The world is witnessing a surge in the launch and use of electric cars in recent years. However, the petrolheads doubt the prowess of electric cars, claiming they can never take the place of powerful and pleasant-sounding ICE engines. However, we stumbled upon a video that puts the Ferrari Purosangua to the test, and the other car challenging its prowess is the Kia EV6 GT.
Recently, carwow shared a video on its official YouTube channel where it takes the Kia EV6 GT and the Ferrari Purosangue for a drag race. In the video, Mat Watson drives the Kia, and Tommy drives the Ferrari. The drag race consists of 4 rounds, out of which the Kia EV6 GT surprisingly won 3.

Kia Vs Ferrari
In the first round, both drivers warmed up the tires and pushed the pedal to the limit. However, Mat kicked away Tommy for a clean lead in the drag race. In the second round, the Ferrari Purosange had a better launch but failed to push back the EV6 GT, leading the electric car to its second win.
In the third round, Mat switched the EV6 GT to manual mode. This proved to put the Ferrari in an advantageous position, and this was the first time that it won. However, Mat then switched back to the normal mode for the last round of the drag race, leading him to the ultimate win.
Tommy then summarizes the race stats with data. The Kia completed the quarter mile in 11.4 seconds, while the Ferrari took 11.5 seconds for the run. In Manual Mode and without Launch Control, the Kia needed 12.1 seconds for the run.
Talking about the specs, the Kia EV6 GT gets a dual-motor setup that delivers a peak power and torque output of 650 hp and 770 Nm. Meanwhile, the Ferrari Purosangue 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 churns out 725 hp and 716 Nm.
