Toyota has unveiled a range of concept vehicles at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, featuring models like the Toyota Corolla, Lexus LS, and the Century Concept. The company also shared insights into its vision for the rebranded Century, positioned as a standalone ultra-luxury brand above Lexus. Although Toyota has yet to disclose performance specifications for these concepts, the showcase offered a glimpse into the brand's forward-thinking design language and innovation-driven approach to future mobility.

Toyota Corolla Concept

The Toyota Corolla concept has been officially unveiled by the brand. The Corolla has been in the market since 1966. However, the new concept gives it a more modern look with sharp design elements, including a full-width LED light bar, a creased bonnet, and a steep windshield.

Toyota has officially announced that the upcoming generation of the Corolla will offer a diverse range of powertrain choices, including full electric, plug-in hybrid, strong hybrid, and internal combustion engine (ICE) variants. This move reflects the brand's commitment to catering to varied mobility needs and evolving market demands.

Lexus LS Concept

The Toyota stage also features the official unveiling of the Lexus LS concept, which is an ultra-luxury van on six wheels. While most of the details of the Lexus LS concert have not been revealed yet, the Lexus LS is characterized by a unique lighting setup, adding to the creased design of the vehicle.

The brand also showcased the Lexus LS Coupe, which stands out with its expansive panoramic glass roof. Its angular lighting at the front and rear draws design inspiration from its quirky minivan sibling, while four compact fans neatly divide the vertically stacked third brake light, adding a distinctive touch to its rear profile.

Century Coupe Concept

The Century Coupe Concept is a two-door coupe SUV, and features design elements that make it different from the other Toyota Concepts. The brand stated that the Century Coupe has 60 layers of paint. The front of the Century Coupe stands tall with split LED headlights on either side of a honeycomb-style grille painted to match the body. Along with the visible bonnet vents, these design cues strongly suggest that the car has its engine placed up front.

The other noticeable exterior highlight is that the concept vehicle does not have an ORVM and rear windshield, and the window line is extended further on the rear. This raises curiosity about whether Toyota plans to substitute the traditional ORVMs and rear windshield with some cutting-edge technological innovation.
