Honda Cars India is all set to introduce the Honda ZR-V eHEV in the Indian market tomorrow, May 22, 2026. The upcoming Honda ZR-V SUV will arrive as a completely built-up unit (CBU) and will become the brand's new flagship SUV in India. The Honda ZR-V eHEV will also mark Honda's return to the premium SUV segment after a long gap and will sit above the Honda Elevate in the company's lineup.
Honda ZR-V SUV: Exterior & Design
The Honda ZR-V SUV gets a sleek and sporty design language compared to Honda's more upright SUVs. At the front, the Honda ZR-V features sharp LED headlamps along with stylish L-shaped LED DRLs. The teaser also reveals an illuminated Honda logo placed at the centre of the grille, giving the SUV a premium look.

Globally, the Honda ZR-V gets chrome detailing on the grille, sporty bumper elements, functional air vents, and a honeycomb-style lower air intake. The India-spec Honda ZR-V is expected to retain most of these design elements. The SUV also gets a coupe-inspired silhouette with a lower roofline, flush roof rails, and a panoramic sunroof.

In terms of dimensions, the Honda ZR-V measures 4,568 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width, and 1,620 mm in height. The wheelbase stands at 2,657 mm, while ground clearance is rated at 180 mm. The Honda ZR-V also offers a 390-litre boot space and is expected to ride on 17-inch to 19-inch alloy wheels depending on the variant.
Honda ZR-V SUV: Interior & Features
Inside, the Honda ZR-V SUV is expected to come with a premium dual-tone cabin and layered dashboard design. The Honda ZR-V could feature a large touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.2-inch digital driver's display, wireless charging, and dual-zone climate control.

The Honda ZR-V is also likely to offer powered front seats with memory function, a powered tailgate, ambient lighting, and a 12-speaker Bose sound system. Safety features are expected to include six airbags, Level-2 ADAS, ISOFIX mounts, and a rear-view camera. One of the highlights of the Honda ZR-V cabin is the presence of physical buttons and controls, making the SUV easier to operate while driving.

Honda ZR-V SUV: Powertrain
Powering the Honda ZR-V eHEV will be a 2.0-litre four-cylinder strong-hybrid petrol engine paired with an e-CVT automatic gearbox. The hybrid setup produces around 184 hp and 315 Nm of combined torque output. Internationally, the Honda ZR-V can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in nearly 8 seconds.
The Honda ZR-V SUV is expected to be priced between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the Honda ZR-V will rival premium SUVs like the Skoda Kodiaq, Volkswagen Tiguan, and Jeep Meridian in the Indian market.
