Citroen India is facing headwinds on its path to growth in the country. The French automaker registered sales of 339 units in April 2024, which is a decline of 16 per cent compared to 404 units sold in the same period during the previous year. To make things worse, the Citroen C3 Aircross has been getting a cold response from consumers. In April 2025, the SUV's sales remain minuscule despite the launch of the Dark Edition version in the same month.

The near-negligible sales show a major decline when compared to the 93 units sold in April 2024. At the same time, the C3 registered sales of 110 units, the E C3 registered sales of 109 units, Basalt recorded sales of 69 units, and the C5 Aircross recorded sales of 54 units in April 2025.
